National Standards for Literacy and Numeracy
The National Standards were launched by the Prime Minister on 23 October 2009. The National Standards packs were distributed to schools from 30 October 2009 (read more).
From 1 February 2010, consultation and trialling of Ngā Whanaketanga Rūmaki Māori is taking place in Māori-medium schools and settings that are working towards implementing Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.
